SORG Group completed the cold repair and modernisation of an oxy-fuel furnace for C-Glass insulation wool at URSA Insulation S.A.’s facility in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.

The project was managed and executed entirely by specialists from within the SORG Group: Nikolaus SORG, EME and SKS, with additional support provided by SORG Polska.

As part of the repair, Nikolaus SORG led the engineering and equipment delivery and implemented enhanced safety measures to meet today’s high standards for industrial furnace operation.

EME carried out the modernisation of the external cullet handling system. This included the supply and installation of advanced processing equipment and a custom-built control cabinet, designed with an emphasis on long-term performance and energy efficiency.

SKS oversaw the demolition of the existing furnace and was responsible for the steel construction, heating-up, filling and commissioning of the new system. SORG Polska handled the refractory and steel installations.
