Applying at EME

A: Once you have submitted your application online or by e-mail, you will receive a confirmation of receipt the following day at the latest. If this is not received, you should get in touch with the contact named in the job ad.

A: In every job ad you will find a contact who you can get in touch with during the application process.

A: Once we receive your application, it is checked by our recruitment team, who will send confirmation. Next, the respective department will decide whether to arrange an interview. In the initial interview, we want to establish to what extent you, the job and EME are a good fit.

A: In the first step, an interview can take place online or in person. For online interviews, we use Microsoft Teams.

As a rule, the future supervisor will take part in the interview in addition to the recruiter. We will inform you about your interview partners in the invitation.

We want to get to know you better in the interview, so be yourself!

Please allow enough time to exchange ideas and clarify any questions without time pressure.

A: As we already have electronic copies. It’s not necessary to bring a paper copy to the interview.

A: You should have a laptop/PC with a good internet connection. You will also need a webcam and possibly an additional microphone or headset, if the audio quality of your webcam is not sufficient.

Microsoft Teams can simply be opened in the browser via the link we provide in the interview invitation, no installation is necessary.

If the online dial-in to the Teams meeting does not work, you can also dial in by telephone. If this does not work, please contact the person named in the job ad.

A: The most important thing is that you feel comfortable in your outfit. If you are unsure about your choice of clothes, “business casual” will always be appropriate.

For online interviews, patterned and striped tops should be avoided due to flickering. The colour of your clothes should also contrast with the background.

A: At the end of the interview, we will inform you of the next steps. You may come back for a second interview or you may want to “get a taste” of the job and the team for a short time. However, we often make a decision very soon after the first interview, in which case you will either receive an offer or a rejection.

If we agree on a future collaboration, the contract can be signed promptly once your employment offer has been approved by the EME management.

A: Upon confirmation of the receipt of your application, you will receive an information sheet on the handling of your personal data in the application process. We ask you to observe this.

In the event of rejection, we will delete your application and any accompanying documents no later than six months from completion of the process.

If you have agreed to your data being stored for a longer period, we will keep your documents for a further two years and delete them after this period.
